Handing Out Healthy Smiles This Thanksgiving
It’s finally November and as we head into the Holiday season, it’s easy to get caught up in our own hectic schedules, social outings and shopping sprees. At Dr. Kim C. Norman’s office, we want to remind you to slow down and take a wider perspective this year.
Every year, as we celebrate the holidays with family and friends more than 11,000 people in Tennessee alone (the majority of them being youth and teens) go without the comfort, security and warmth of a roof over their heads. The homeless population in our area has been growing since 2012. While many organizations work to provide shelter and food for our homeless citizens, they often still go without basic health items- including toothpaste and toothbrushes.
This Thanksgiving, Dr. Kim C. Norman and staff are determined to change that! On Thanksgiving Day, we will be partnering with Knox Area Rescue Ministries to provide shelter guests and the homeless with dental care items! We will be handing out over a hundred gift bags filled with toothpaste, toothbrushes and floss. These items will help improve and restore their dental health, sense of security and confidence.
