Dentistry For The Individual

Office Manager: Terri Whitfield, RDA

Terri has been with the practice since July 2001. She is a Registered Dental Assistant.

Terri moved to Maryville 14 years ago. She has been married to Terry Charles Whitfield for 27 years. They have one daughter and two wonderful grandchildren. She enjoys biking, hiking, reading, and spending time with her family.

Terri is the person that every staff member goes to in the office and she will be the person to take care of you when you come in or call.

Head Dental Assistant: Janet Overly, RDA

Janet has been practicing with Dr. Norman since 1990. She is a Registered Dental Assistant.

Janet has been in dentistry for 25 years. She is a “home grown” Blount County native. She and Brian Overly have been married for 25 years. Brian is the owner of Overly Automotive and Doug’s Off-Road Vehicles. Janet and Brian have a 22 year old son, Brennen. Janet loves going to the beach, Jazzercise, and riding bikes.

Janet says the thing she likes most about dentistry is “helping our patients achieve great dental care.”

Hygienist: Alice “Lyn” Meadows, RDH

Lyn has been practicing with Dr. Norman since June 2005. She is a Registered Dental Hygienist. She received her Associate of Science degree in dental hygiene in 1988 from Pensacola Junior College. She also attended Northern Virginia Community College and holds a travel agent certificate from the European American Travel School.

Lyn grew up in Northern Virginia and moved to Wears Valley in 2004 after living for several years in Gulf Breeze, Florida. She is married to Wes Meadows, a welder. Lyn has one son, Bobby, who lives in Florida and attends the University of West Florida.

Lyn’s favorite activities include hiking, biking, watching football, traveling, being outdoors, going to the beach, and she loves animals (particularly her pets). Lyn is excited to report that she will be a grandmother soon!
